Industrial networks expand.
Australasian Business Intelligence, March, 2002
Mar 26, 2002 (Process & Control Engineering
ABIX via COMTEX) -- Cahners Research has surveyed "Control Engineering" subscribers about industrial networks. Slightly more than three-quarters of the 225 respondents reported that they primarily use industrial networking in the area of process controls. With the exception of sensors, most respondents expect the use of products associated with networks to fall over the coming year. A six per cent increase in personal computer-based control products to 74 per cent is also anticipated over the period. Survey results revealed rising familiarity with new networks and fieldbus protocols compared with the 2001 survey.
