HR influence at the top yields business results.

ABIX via COMTEX) -- An Australian survey has found that it pays for a company to have a human resources (HR) manager close to the top. In February 2002, the survey by consultants Andersen showed the clear benefits of putting a HR manager on the executive committee. Andersen studied the top 50 companies listed on the Australian Stock Exchange. The survey found that companies with HR influence on the executive committee had a better bottom line than the others. These companies numbered 27 out of the 50. They garnered average earnings per share growth of 13 per cent over five years, double the growth of the 23 companies lacking HR influence at the top.
