ABIX via COMTEX) -- Wing Lung Bank recorded a net profit of $HK845.8m in 2001. The result represents a decrease of 16 for the Hong Kong-based banking institution. A decrease in customer deposits was recorded to $HK49.6m. A 2.6 increase in advances to $HK29bn was recorded. A 27 increase in bad and doubtful debts to $HK113.5m was recorded. A 3.1 decrease in other operating income to $HK376.4m was accompanied by a decrease in net interest income, to $HK1.23bn.
