ASX slaps tech stocks for tardy reporting.
Australasian Business Intelligence, March, 2002
Mar 19, 2002 (The Age
ABIX via COMTEX) -- Trading in five Australian-listed technology companies was halted on 18 March 2002. They missed the 15 March deadline for lodging their latest company results. The companies affected were Australon, China Convergent, CircleCom, Global Business Solutions, Tele2000 and machinery maker, Zicom. The Australian Stock Exchange was deluged with reports on the Friday, the final day of the reporting season, while other documents were lodged electronically over the weekend. In the case of Bermuda-registered China Convergent, the company said its auditor, Arthur Andersen, had resigned.
