ABIX via COMTEX) -- Chrysler dealers in the US are to be encouraged to use Internet tools to lower costs. The former DaimlerChrysler manufacturing CEO, Dennis Pawley, will promote the use of Chrysler's technology, including the site "Market Centre", to enable dealers to purchase supplies of automotive equipment at volume discounts. Pawley's company, Lean Learning Centre, assists executives to eliminate waste from their organisations. Pawley intends to evaluate 75 dealerships and train 25 Chrysler zone managers who will eventually take over the training of dealers.
