ABIX via COMTEX) -- MYOB wants to improve the perception in the Australian marketplace about the software group. The technical problems in taxation software not only affected the perception of the software manufacturer and business services provider but also negatively affected sales and revenue. A net profit of $A5.3m was recorded in 2001, a decrease of 73.4. A 35.2 decrease in revenue to $A79.3m was recorded for the year. The chief executive officer of MYOB, Craig Winkler, is marketing the company more broadly as a service provider. At the same time, the company is working on a number of new products, such as a new product for the MYOB Payment Service division.
