ABIX via COMTEX) -- Macquarie Bank's Macquarie Airports Group is to list on the London Stock Exchange. The fund was established in August 2001 as a vehicle to invest in privately-owned airports and aviation companies mainly in Europe. It already holds a 50 stake in Bristol International Airport and a 24 stake in Birmingham Airport, both in Britain. The Australian investment bank is understood to be keen to do a few more deals prior to the fund's float and listing in Britain. The float is expected to occur within the next 12 months. The bank is also considering a Frankfurt Stock Exchange listing for the fund. Macquarie Bank has a 10 stake in Macquarie Airports Group. Originally published in "The Daily Telegraph".
