ABIX via COMTEX) -- The Australian Government only seemed to gain a sense of direction after the 2001 election in late January 2002. Research by Taylor Nelson Sofres found that chief executive officers surveyed in March 2002 were less inclined to believe that the Australian Government did not have an agenda, when compared with attitudes in January 2002. The deputy chief executive officer of the Australian Industry Group, Heather Ridout, says that economic and industrial initiatives do exist.
