ABIX via COMTEX) -- Small companies funds can return impressive dividends to Australian investors. These are companies outside the 100 top-listed companies on the Australian Stock Exchange, ranked by capitalisation. Whereas large companies are the focus of most investors, small companies are often overlooked despite their potential. Funds researcher, InvestorWeb, ranks Colonial First State's Developing Companies Fund as the market leader, returning 27.8 per cent compounded annually.
