ABIX via COMTEX) -- Several Australian stockbrokers have offered their recommendations for stock selections in mid-April 2002. Richard Morrow, of EL & C Baillieu, recommends that investors buy Origin Energy and Cooper Energy shares, hold onto their National Australia Bank and Foodland Associates stock, and sell Coles Myer stock. David Stogdale, of Terrain Securities, says to buy Oil Search and Mincor, sell Singapore Telecommunications and Austrim Nylex, and hold Senetas and Ion. Salomon Smith Barney's Brett Nicholson has a "buy" recommendation on Simsmetal and Pacifica Group, but advises investors to sell David Jones and Energy Developments. He also regards Lion Nathan and Aristocrat Leisure as stocks to hold.
