TCFL centre fails to attract ongoing support.

ABIX via COMTEX) -- The Textile, Clothing & Leather Centre at the Australian Technology Park in Sydney opened in February 2000. The centre was launched with the assistance of a two-year funding grant from the Australian Government to help the clothing, textile and leather industries to become more innovative and globally competitive. Two years and almost $A2m later, lack of industry support has forced the closure of the centre, initially established by the University of New South Wales, the Sydney Institute of Technology and the University of Technology, Sydney.
