ABIX via COMTEX) -- Internet users are being bombarded with advertisements. The advertisers make every effort to make their advertisements look like genuine information but without breaching regulations imposed on the Internet industry by regulatory bodies. Pop-up advertisements often look like a pop-up dialog box of browser plug-ins. Until the Internet Advertising Bureau makes the practice illegal, users are advised to think before they click the mouse. According to Statistical Research, pop-up advertisements are more likely to be noticed than banner ads but they are also a major source of irritation for Internet users.
