ABIX via COMTEX) -- Singapore Telecommunications hopes that new generation mobile telecommunications will improve its revenue position. The existence of infrastructure means that Singapore Telecommunications' mobile division could only take 10 months to implement such services. The capital expenditure required for the investment in third generation mobile services may not exceed $S400m. The mobile division has average revenue per user of $S75 per month for its prepaid subscribers. Prepaid subscribers represent three quarters of the company's subscribers in Singapore.
