Banks miss online pay dirt.

ABIX via COMTEX) -- Neilsen/NetRatings has a report on the success of electronic banking in Australia. The report found that many banks in Australia are not fully utilising Internet banking opportunities. The report suggests that consumers are more willing to take up Internet banking products and services than the banking community expects. Internet banking services are offered by St George Bank, the ANZ Banking Group, the National Australia Bank, Westpac Banking Corporation and the Commonwealth Bank of Australia. A 21 increase in Internet banking services' usage was recorded between June 2001 and March 2002.
