Business and academia seek common ground.

ABIX via COMTEX) -- Co-operation between Australian universities and business has been slow to take off. This is despite the fact that around one third of the nation's business parks are linked to academic institutions. Industry commentators say that the results of the boom in such developments in the early 1990s have been mixed, with the sharing of knowledge and projects still at an early stage. While moving into co-operative property ventures helped university finances, many leases did not provide a knowledge sharing clause.
