ABIX via COMTEX) -- Omnicom is yet another US company that is being investigated by the Securities and Exchange Commission. The company is the world's third-biggest advertising group. It was asked to explain the reasons for a sudden resignation of Robert Callander, who was Omnicom's board member for ten years. The investigation follows an article published in the "Wall Street Journal" in which Omnicom was accused of using the practice of aggressive accounting. Nervous investors reacted quickly and Omnicom's share price has promptly fallen by around 30 per cent.
