The 2002 Budget - it's impact on superannuation.
Australasian Business Intelligence, June, 2002
ABIX via COMTEX) -- The May 2002 Budget brought changes to superannuation administration in Australia. The Australian Government confined itself to a series of main points, ahead of the completion of a Senate Committee review of superannuation. The changes are aimed at making superannuation administration easier for employers, as well as reducing risk associated with employee superannuation entitlements in case of business failure. The government wants people to increase their own contributions to superannuation funds, although this has an air of unreality when every dollar is being carefully counted in households.
