Australasian Business Intelligence, June, 2002
ABIX via COMTEX) -- Hilton Hotels of Australia hired iTouch, an interactive solutions company, to develop a marketing program. The luxury hotel group joined the recent trend of traditional media users adopting promotions based on SMS (short messaging service). It sought to raise guest numbers and foster customer loyalty by using SMS. Cliff Rosenberg, an iTouch developer, said that the campaign increased acceptance of the Hilton's special offers by between 10 and 25 per cent.
