ABIX via COMTEX) -- There are three elements to the Inchcape Automotive business in Australia. These include distribution of Subaru and Jaguar vehicles, retailing of these and Volvo and Volkswagen models, as well as a parts and warehousing logistics business. The Subaru business accounts for about 50 of its distribution business and about the same in revenue from retail operations. Trevor Amery, the chief of Inchcape Automotive, says the logistics and retail sectors will provide the company with room for expansion. Amery says the company has good relationships with its 110-automobile dealer network and is concentrating on building profitability for those with links to the Subaru brand.
