In a first, company to market cars incorporating fuel cells.

ABIX via COMTEX) -- A small number of fuel-cell automobiles will be offered by Toyota Motor Corporation in 2002. The first fuel-cell vehicles released, globally, were a number of fuel-cell buses launched by DaimlerChrysler in 2000. The release of the automobiles by the Japanese car group is the first time that fuel-cell cars have been marketed to consumers. Toyota Motor has not finalised the sale price of the fuel-cell models. Some of the fuel-cell cars will be leased to public organisations and research institutions.
