ABIX via COMTEX) -- The reality of corporate life in Australia seems to vary considerably from what may be deemed ideal. Australian executives admit to struggling with the demand to appear to be decent and the reality of the workplace, where delivery is paramount. The Australian Institute of Management (AIM) and Monash University have conducted a survey of almost 2,000 executives. According to the AIM CEO, Carolyn Barker, Australian managers scored badly when it came to social skills, although there is an awakening perception that there is a need for managers to handle people better.
