Boral to test market for prefab work.

ABIX via COMTEX) -- Australian company Boral has announced an investment in the Western Australian (WA) concrete market. The major building materials company said that Boral's Australian Construction Material (ACM) arm had agreed to acquire a 50 per cent stake in WA concrete supplier Go Crete. Boral said the deal is part of expansion plans for its core business. ACM's WA general manager, Mike Barry, said the investment in Go Crete would allow the company to test the prefabricated concrete panels market. Barry said Go Crete also provided Boral with a concrete batching plant in WA as well as a buyer of its aggregate. It is understood the deal is conditional on approval by the Australian Competition and Consumer Commission....
