Buyers will pay for advertising ban on fast cars.
Australasian Business Intelligence, July, 2002
Jul 14, 2002 (The Sunday Telegraph
ABIX via COMTEX) -- Bob Miller is a professor of marketing and communications at Macquarie University. He says that the Australian Government's proposal to ban certain car advertisements will lead to higher costs for car buyers. The government has proposed to outlaw television advertisements which feature speeding and stunt driving. Miller says that car buyers would ultimately pay for the car manufacturers to shoot new advertisements which comply with the government's proposed guidelines. The car industry is planning to develop its own code of conduct for advertisements.
