Rusty big iron prompts server sales spurt.

ABIX via COMTEX) -- IDC has issued a report on the Australian computer server market. The survey indicates that there will be a two per cent increase in the server market in 2002. Tom Minarik, server analyst at IDC, says that growth should continue into 2003. Unix is likely to benefit, having suffered recently at the hands of Windows and Linux. The report ranks the top four server systems as Windows, Unix, Netware and Linux. The top five vendors in the market are Compaq, IBM, Sun Microsystems, Hewlett-Packard and Dell.
