ABIX via COMTEX) -- Phil Condit, the CEO of Boeing, wants the company to become a diversified global conglomerate. The company hopes that its Boeing Digital Cinema will revolutionise the way films are distributed to cinemas. Boeing appointed Andrew Peacock, former Australian ambassador in the United States, as its Australian president. It is a signal that the company takes its expansion plans very seriously. Condit played down the significance of $A2.5 billion in net loss made in the first quarter, saying that the aircraft industry was a long term business.
