ABIX via COMTEX) -- Australia's remaining electronic retailers (e-tailers) are digging in for a tough 2002-03. They concede it is not the climate for bold, big-spending initiatives. Rather, the times call for prudent spending and sensible and attainable business goals, hopefully rewarded by steady growth. The co-founder and CEO of Wishlist, Huy Truong, says the "gold rush" of the "dotcom" boom has long gone. The aim will be to capture the value that will come from upcoming growth. Andrew Cooper, CEO of HotShed, admits the forecast booming market for e-tailers did not eventuate.
