Debt collectors clean up.

ABIX via COMTEX) -- Australian debt collection and financial services company Dun & Bradstreet says the debt collection business is thriving. The company's Australian and New Zealand CEO, Christine Christian, said increased consumer debt had provided a substantial increase in the debt collection business. Christian said the company's debt collection business was expected to grow by 50 per cent in 2002 and a further 20 per cent in the three years to 2005. Dun & Bradstreet, in a joint venture with Datacom, is set to open a 200-seat call centre in Melbourne specifically designed to deal with debt collection. Christian said that a large percentage of small businesses were struggling to meet payment schedules.
