ABIX via COMTEX) -- An International Air Transport Association study shows most air passengers want Internet access. They are not, however, prepared to pay much for the service. Carole Murphy of Travelsearch and Jim Georges of American Express International said on 8 July 2002 that they agreed with the study. SkyNetGlobal, founded by Jonathon Soon, offers wireless local area network access at 40 places in Australia and 300 in the US, where it is partnered with MobilStar. Baker & McKenzie is testing the system. Tenzing Communications offers Internet access on Cathay Pacific and Varig Brazil flights. Qantas promises laptop power outlets in business class in 2003..
