ABIX via COMTEX) -- Gary Gale is CEO and MD of Gale Pacific, Australia's biggest advanced polymer fabric manufacturer. The firm, which listed in 2000, recently bought some technical fabrics assets from Visy Industries, thereby expanding its industrial channels. Gale Pacific was founded by Gale's father in the 1950s and initially made scarves. It began producing shade cloth in the 1970s following Gale's study trip to Europe. Gale says the high levels of service offered to retailers sets the company apart from its rivals. Sales of close to $A100 million are expected over the next 18 months.
