Business push on Kyoto.

BHP Billiton, Shell Company of Australia and BP Australia have criticised the Australian Government for not ratifying the Kyoto Protocol. Some of the world's largest companies have joined with conservation groups such as Greenpeace International in claiming that governments such as Australia's are creating confusion for large businesses. The World Business Council for Sustainable Development - whose members include BHP, BP, Shell, Rio Tinto and Western Power - has urged all governments to sign the greenhouse gas emission reduction protocol at the World Summit on Sustainable Development in Johannesburg.
