Vehicle market boom drives Adtrans to record earnings.

The Adtrans Group in Australia has flagged a solid profit. On 27 August 2002, the company reported a 45 rise in profit to a satisfying $A7.11 million, in the 12 months to June 2002. The group's revenue rose as the new and used car market boomed. Adtrans owns Stillwell Trucks in Sydney, operates two Austrans truck dealerships in Melbourne, and owns three Ford car dealerships in Adelaide. The group's chairman, Graeme Bignell, described the company result as "most pleasing". He said that directors are optimistic about another good performance in the current year.
