TXU looks to Victoria for SA gas.

Australasian Business Intelligence, August, 2002

ABIX via COMTEX) -- TXU is understood to be negotiating a number of new gas supply deals. It is seeking to source 30 petajoules of gas from Victoria, because the Moomba-to-Adelaide pipeline it is currently using to access gas from the Cooper Basin is operating at full capacity. The Victorian suppliers that TXU could strike a deal with include the Woodside-led consortium that is developing deposits in the Otway Basin, existing suppliers from the Bass Strait fields, the Queensland group Energex, and Australian Gas Light. TXU hopes to access the Seagas pipeline to transport its Victorian gas, but says it is willing to build its own pipeline if an access deal cannot be struck.
