Air Pacific shows a small profit.

ABIX via COMTEX) -- Air Pacific has posted a profit before tax of $A9.7 million for its latest reporting period. The result represents a turnaround when compared with a loss of $A38.5 million the previous year. The results were achieved from 32.7 per cent higher revenue of $A353.4 million. Air Pacific chairman Gerald Barrach is cautious but optimistic of the company's future, saying that the airline must build up its reserves by focusing on profitable routes and cutting down costs. No dividend has been declared to shareholders.
