ACT firm snares German deal in high-tech coup.

Australasian Business Intelligence, September, 2002

Sep 06, 2002 (The Canberra Times - ABIX via COMTEX)

A Canberra company, CEA Technologies, has won a contract to supply a combat system for German warships. The deal will be worth about $A200m for CEA and its joint venture partner, Adelaide-based Saab Systems. The emphasis will be on state-of-the-art radar equipment for the warships, which detect incoming missiles and alert the ships' defence systems. It has the ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously. Because the system is flexible it could also be used on land-based vehicles, and is easily adapted for non-military applications.
