Deloitte settles disputes.

The Australian arm of Deloitte Consulting has ended a bitter legal dispute with the National Australia Bank. The consultant also settled a fight with its own employees. On 20 September 2002, Deloitte and the National Australia Bank agreed to end their legal battle in an undisclosed settlement. The bank had alleged that Deloitte had underpaid it for the implementation of its Integrated Systems project. Some $A38 million was involved. On the same day, Deloitte announced a two-month delay to the pay cuts it had scheduled for November 2002. It will also offer severance payments to employees who did not accept the pay cuts.
