Dell and EMC are entering a new phase of co-operation in storage systems, with the launch of the Dell-EMC CX600. Using a two gigabit Fibre Channel connection for data, the base model costs $US98,000. The design is largely EMC's, and provides Dell with an entry in enterprise level systems. In return, EMC gets marketing access to the corporate world, where Dell has become increasingly dominant.
