The Lauda brand name could soon disappear from Australian skies. The Austrian carrier's parent company, Austrian Airlines, is deliberating over whether to rebrand Lauda's long-haul jets under the Austrian Airline banner, thereby restricting the use of the Lauda brand name to charter flights within Europe. According to Lauda's GM in Australasia, Richard Froggatt, there are plans afoot to expand the carrier's number of services into Australia from seven to 12 per week.
