US-based research indicates that CEOs and psychopaths often share personality traits. Robert Hare of the University of British Columbia believes that boardrooms are full of people exhibiting psychopathic behaviour. He says psychopaths have an ability to seem plausible and charming to hide their low self-esteem. He says that if he wanted to do more research on psychopaths and could not gain entry to prisons, he would go to the United States Stock Exchange. Originally published in "The Telegraph".
