Life in the tech graveyard.

Australasian Business Intelligence, October, 2002

Oct 03, 2002 (BRW - ABIX via COMTEX)

Many listed IT companies in Australia are not doing well. They may be survivors of the "dot com" crash, but little else. Analysts believe that only 12 or so will become sustainable businesses. One analyst does admire some of these companies and he singled out Infomedia, Technology One and Kaz Group. IT companies whose share prices have risen recently include SecureNet, Volante Group, Citect and Integrated Research. These have had robust results for 2001-2002. One company which has restructured itself to become a leaner organisation is SMS Management & Technology (formerly known as Sausage Software). It is a much more disciplined business now and its share price has hit $A0.45 (on 30 September 2002).
