Representatives of Australian library organisations will appear before a government committee. The Senate's Environment, Communications, Information Technology and the Arts committee is conducting hearings at the Australian Institute of Management in Melbourne on 26 November 2002, at Parliament House in Canberra on 28 November 2002 and at the Carlton Cress Hotel in Sydney on 29 November 2002. The committee will hear from representatives of the National Library of Australia, the Australian Library and Information Association, the Council of Australian University Librarians and the Municipal Association of Victoria.
