A leading money manager in Australia has rejoined the fray. He is Peter Morgan, the former Perpetual head of equities, who left his job in September 2002. On 5 December 2002, Morgan said that he is back in business with his new fund manager, 452 Capital. This will manage funds offered to the retail market via Colonial First State. Morgan named his new company 452 Capital after the highest first-class score made by cricketing legend Don Bradman. Morgan said that he loves managing money, but is not going to manage the amount of funds he did at Perpetual. He noted that he is not going back to managing around $A13 billion.
