Australian share traders are gearing up for their last full week of trading before the 2002 Christmas holiday season begins. However, analysts say it is looking less and less likely that the market will rally before the end of December, and a chaotic end to the trading year can be expected. The Australian sharemarket fell again in the week ended 13 December 2002, in line with a fall in the US. Ongoing concern over the state of the global economy and a possible war between the US and Iraq is continuing to weigh on global markets.
