A new program from Macromedia called "Contribute" provides an easy way to update web pages. With Contribute, an administrator can authorise other users to make changes to a site. The software lets those with limited technical knowledge update a site. Contribute is priced at $US99 ($A167) per user. Homestead Technologies offers a similar solution for those wanting to create and edit web sites without learning HTML programming. The software has some limitations. Homestead is sold as a subscription for $US7.99 per month.
