The continued strength of the sector has seen the share price of companies that benefit from strong car sales, such as car retailers Adtrans and AP Eagers, and components manufacturer Pacifica, perform strongly since the beginning of 2002. As of 27 January 2003, shares in Adtrans were up 52.4 per cent on January 2002, while AP Eagers' share price has risen from $A4.00 to $A4.97.
