Australian professional services firms are reviewing their corporate governance policies. This has been prompted by the high-profile Deloitte Touche Tohmatsu CEO, Domenic Martino, tendering his resignation because of the implications of his role when a director of client and telecommunications firm, New Tel. Firms such as Allens Arthur Robinson and Freehills allow partners to sit on boards of outside corporations, which sometimes are their clients. These firms are now reviewing their policies.
