CASA may clip the wings of PNG flights.
Australasian Business Intelligence, January, 2003
Jan 14, 2003 (The Australian Financial Review - ABIX via COMTEX)
Five Papua New Guinea (PNG)-based airlines have regular scheduled flights to Australia. However, some of these flights may be terminated by Australia's Civil Aviation Safety Authority (CASA), due to concerns about the operations of PNG's aviation regulator, the Civil Aviation Authority (CAA). The five airlines' air operators' certificates expire on 31 January 2003, and the CAA provided CASA with its safety audits on the airlines in early January. The five airlines concerned are Air Niugini, Regional Air, National Jet, Hevi Lift and Airlines PNG.
