Jobs go in NAB's IT revamp.
Australasian Business Intelligence, January, 2003
Jan 16, 2003 (The Australian Financial Review - ABIX via COMTEX)
The National Australia Bank is considering reducing its IT staff by 109 positions as part of a restructuring plan currently being developed. If the plan is accepted, these jobs could go within three weeks. The bank is however planning to create 64 new positions, although these places may be filled externally and not through re-deployment of existing staff. The restructure is designed to allow the bank's IT functions to be decentralised, and re-integrated into its individual business units. The division that most positions will be lost from is Application Development Maintenance.
