Australasian Business Intelligence, February, 2003

Feb 09, 2003 (The Australian Financial Review - ABIX via COMTEX)

The Macquarie Bank's recent sale of 58 million Macquarie Airports units has seen some reshuffling of the group's shareholders. The Ontario Teachers' Pension Plan now holds a 5.03 stake in Macquarie Airports, and ING Australia has increased its holding to nine per cent. Running against the trend, Colonial First State has reduced its holding in Macquarie Airports to below five per cent. Other recent buying activity by share funds included Perpetual Investment's decision to increase its stake in Fletcher Building by 8.1 million shares, and Maple-Brown Abbott's decision to lift its stake in Australian Magnesium from 5.7 to 7.6.
