Macquarie ProLogis delivers on acquisition promise.

The Macquarie ProLogis property trust has raised $A196.5 million via a one-for-two entitlement issue. The trust is preparing to purchase up to $US250 million ($A425 million) worth of industrial property in North America in 2003. With these purchases, the trust's capitalisation will exceed $A600 million. The trust's return since its June 2002 listing has been 20 and distributions for the first half of 2002-03 met forecasts. Retail unit holders will have equal access to the new issue, being underwritten by Macquarie Equity Capital Markets and UBS Warburg.
