DAM launches small companies fund.

Mar 31, 2003 (The Australian Financial Markets Newsletter - INSTO - ABIX via COMTEX) -- An Australian equities fund specialising in small companies and hoping to raise $A500m was launched by Deutsche Asset Management (DAM) on 25 March 2003. The Deutsche Australian Small Companies Fund will primarily invest in small Australian companies listed or gearing up to list on the Australian Stock Exchange. Ken Licence, head of institutional sales and client services at DAM, says that the fund has been launched to fill a gap in the market. The small companies fund is open to both institutional and retail investors, and carries a minimum initial investment of $A100,000.
